Billy Shields -Wherever Bound (a deep dive with the artist) (2020)

On this episode, Trevor and Shane sit down with songwriter Billy Shields to discuss his debut 2020 album Wherever Bound. Billy is a musician, world traveler, baker of some amazing cookies, and an all around wild buccaneer. What started out as a deep appreciation for great musicianship and songwriting blossomed into a friendship between the three, and when this damn Covid pandemic is all over, Shane, Trevor, and Billy know there is a music festival somewhere with their names on it! Billy was incredibly generous with his time and open and candid about lyrics that he wrote living on the road spanning over a decade of his life. This album and conversation surrounding it traverses the US and makes stops in Hawaii, Vietnam, and Pai but never gets too far away from the shared human experience of what it means to be someone in search of connection with others.
