Dispatch - Silent Steeples (1996)

For Shane's pick of an album that has "been around awhile," he selected Dispatch's 1996 debut "Silent Steeples." If you haven't heard of Dispatch, you either slept on the biggest independent band made popular by file sharing in the 90's...or you are Trevor. Dispatch is a difficult band to classify, but this debut features acoustic guitar driven lyrical worlds that give hints of reggae and jam band flavors that will become part of their signature sound with subsequent releases. Shane has fun discussing songs that have a history for him and introducing Trevor to perhaps the most popular band you've never heard of.
